HOSTELS AND CHEAP HOTELS

Can you believe this cool looking Riad is an actual hostel? You can stay here for only $20 a night in the old part of Marrakech, Morocco. We have booked a room for girls only for us gypsies. This is luxury at a cheap price!

Next  is Bacelona, Spain and another great hostel rated A+ on tripadviser.com. Our price for this hip place is only $24 a night which includes a bar and club located right in the hostel.

One of the few hotels we are staying in is Athens Lotus Hotel in Athens, Greece. This was actually an awesome deal. For $25 a night we get two connecting rooms for us three girls. Can you say a lot more privacy?!?!?

Euro Youth Hostel in Munich, Germany is the last stop of our ATW trip. This place is in a great location, near the main square and drinking pubs. Let's face it, we probably won't remember much while we are in Germany. We plan on hitting a lot of pubs to taste test a good amount of beer.

In London we are staying in an old 1600 building that was once a hospital for children and a nursing school. How ironic is that for us nurses to be staying here......very cool! London can be expensive so this was a great find for us.

We will be in Rome for a full week so I wanted a place that was not only relaxing, but also a great price. I was able to find us another cool little hostel for women only that was at one time an old convent for nuns. This place is right next to the river that runs through the city. In walking distance from the Orsa Maggiore hostel is the Vatican, which we will of course be visiting on our trip.

Talking about expensive, New York City can kill your pocketbook real quick. For less then $100 a night I booked this room for us for the two nights we will be exploring this lively city. The Broadway is not only a hotel, but a hostel also. I decided to book a private room for us for only $78 a night.

  1. Cool blog idea! Will be be documenting your trip on this site? Is it a fun trip, or will you be travel nursing in Europe?

  2. Erica, we are going to be traveling for fun...no nursing involved! (or at least I hope not!) We've got a great group of Travel Nurses going on this first trip and I think 'Gypsy on the Fly' is going to be doing an introduction soon!

  3. Yes, Gypsy Nurse is right, this trip is just for fun! But I'll be posting some blogs of my travel assignments too, along with some photography I have done at each assignment. I'll be posting a pic with names of all the gypsy nurse going to Europe soon. Thank you for asking!
